CPUが片肺になることが目立ってきた。どうやらCPUが熱すぎると片肺になるようだ。でも片肺になった後に戻ってくれない。
XcodeをインストールするとCPUの状況を見れる初期設定メニューを入れれるようだ。
/Developer/Extras/PreferencePanes/Processor.prefPane
をダブルクリックするとインストールできる。
しかし、これをインストールしたら、iStatがメニューバーに出てこなくなった。
ヘルプを読んでみると以下のような記載が。
Troubleshooting
If iStat menus is telling you it’s unable to load the extras then please try changing menucracker’s settings in the “Help” tab of the iStat menu preference pane.
By default menucracker poses as apples CHUDCHUD extra but if your using the real CHUD menu extra then there may be incompatibilities. Changing the menucracker settings to pose as a different extra will let you work around this problem.

どうやらProcessorというのはCHUD Tools（Computer Hardware Understanding Developer Tools）の一部らしい。で、iStatはそれのメニューと見せかけて表示しているようだ。なのでProcessorをインストールした場合には、iStatメニュー＞Help＞MenuCracker＞Pose as menu extra:を『CHUD Tools CPU Extra』以外で表示する予定のないものを選択する必要があるようだ。私はメニューバーに出さないだろうIrDAを選んだ。
これでちゃんとiStatが表示できた。良かった。
